Is Earthing Good For Everyone?
You’re reading this article, so you must have at least heard about Earthing; and you’re probably wondering if there are people Earthing doesn’t help?
Maybe you’ve read some other articles on the subject of Earthing, and among the many with claims of the great benefits of Earthing, you’ve come across some reviews, in which people revealed, they’d tried Earthing, and it didn’t change anything.
To get right to the point, Earthing does benefit everyone who consistently practices it, but it’s understandable that some people won’t notice any significant changes; or changes at all.
We’ll address why some people might not notice a change, as a result of Earthing in a minute, but first let’s address the statement made above; Earthing does benefit everyone who consistently practices it.
Studies have shown, and are being conducted and revealing more, that upon grounding yourself (Earthing), a number of physiological changes ensue. These changes do create a number of benefits for the person being grounded.
Clint Ober, the founder of Earthing, even has a U.S. Earthing patent describing Earthing as a method of treating inflammation and autoimmune diseases, filed in 2006.
Clint’s book, Earthing ~ The most important health discovery ever?, reveals the results of a number of studies done on Earthing and it’s health benefits. You can listen to an audio copy of Earthing here. UPDATE: This audio of earthing is no longer available at this link.
There are a number of places on this website you can read about the benefits of Earthing as well.
So why do some people claim Earthing doesn’t work?
The simple answer is, they’re probably not experiencing any significant changes; Or the changes are subtle and go unnoticed.
If you are one of the people who’s been Earthing yourself and you don’t think it’s making a difference, there’s a couple of things I personally suggest you try to see if you notice a difference.
If you’re not already using one of the styles of Earthing sheets, to be grounded while you sleep, I suggest you do that to make sure you’re getting grounded for a significant amount of time.
If you are already sleeping grounded; and you’ve been doing it for a month or more, I suggest you stop sleeping grounded for a week or 2. Why would I suggest you stop sleeping grounded?
Here’s why; You might be experiencing a number of physical benefits from Earthing already, but they were subtle so you didn’t notice how much better you’re feeling than you did before your Earthing regime.
Once you stop grounding yourself for a week or 2, it’s likely you won’t be feeling as good as you are now. I know this was true for me.
I consider myself a healthy person, and although I did notice some pretty profound changes as a result of Earthing, I didn’t realize how much it was benefiting me until a couple of mini vacations without a Grounding sheet to sleep on.
Once I wasn’t sleeping grounded, I didn’t feel as good as I’d been feeling when I was sleeping grounded, and guess what? As soon as I started sleeping grounded again, I appreciated and noticed the changes Earthing created more significantly.
Another good indicator of a more subtle Earthing benefit is the increased blood flow, that is often noticed by others, resulting in more color in the faces of those who have been grounding themselves regularly. People sometimes have a more pale complexion which changes to a more colorful complexion, as a result of Earthing.
Take a picture of yourself, or ask someone to rate the amount of color in your face. Then stop Earthing for a week and take another picture in the same lighting conditions to compare; or ask the same person you asked before to rate the amount of color in your face. Use a scale of 1-10, for example.
I’m pretty sure you’re going to notice some changes, once you’re not Earthing anymore.
If you don’t notice any changes, it’s still good to know, Earthing is making a difference. A good article to read to get a better understanding of these changes is Earthing Sheets ~ Reducing Inflammation The Easy Way.
Even though Earthing is good for everyone, you’ll want to check with your Doctor if you’re on any blood thinning medication, as Earthing thins the blood. You may need to have the medication reduced or discontinued.
